Update on Hunter

Hunter is growing bigger and bigger every day. He is holding his head up and rolling over. His favorite thing is to sit up but he can't do it on his owe totally yet. He still needs a little help to stabilize him. He also loves playing with his feet and sucking on his figures.

He was been coming to work with me for the past three weeks. He is getting better each time we go. He still wants more attention then I can give him at work. My mom was asking how work was going the other day and hunter stopped making noises. I told her that he did not like to talk about work.

Mike is working had at selling pest control. We don't see him too often. He leaves at 9 am and comes home at 10pm. Most of the time Hunter is already asleep.

My first mothers day went well. I got some patio furniture and a home made card from Hunter and Mike.

Graduation

Hunter had his first flight last week. We actually had two flights in one day. He did so well. He did not scream at all. We went to Provo Utah to see my sister graduate. My parent also flew out, so Hunter also got to see his Papa and Gran.

Hunter on the air plain.

Hunter loved seeing his grandparents again. Gran fussed over him the hole time. He left with half a suit case and returned with a very full suit case.

We had fun watching Alena and Dan graduate. Hunter was also good during the graduation.

Road Trip

We had a long trip from Rexburg Idaho to Carrollton Texas. We backed up all of our stuff on a truck and Mike's dad drove it to Colorado.

All of our stuff in one truck. A 17 foot Uhaul.

We left for Utah about five days latter. We had no furniture and were living out of a suit case. We had to clean out apartment, it took us about two days.

On April first we backed up the little bit of stuff we had which turned out to pack our little car full. We also stopped at IF before heading to Utah to pick up our new kitten. Malkin.

The cat did not stop meowing for about an hour after we picked him up.

We stopped by in Utah to visit Alena and Dan and also go to Mike's mission reunion.
We had lots of fun. It was a little cramped in their one bed room apartment. We also enjoyed some ice cream at the BYU creamery.

The next day we drove through the night to Mike's Grandma's. We arrived at about 5 in the morning. In Colorado we visited Mike's family is grandparents and his parents.

In Colorado we celebrated Easter. Oma had Easter baskets for every one.

We again traveled through the night so Hunter would sleep through it all. Or most of it since it was a long drive. We stopped by in Lubbock for lunch and then traveled on to Dallas. It was really long, Hunter did well for most of it but was getting fussy for the last hour or so. He was just tried of all the driving and all the change.

We moved in to our new apartment about a week after we had left Rexburg. We are liking it here in Carrollton. It is much bigger here then Rexburg and I need a GPS to find most places. The first few days were crazy with boxes every were. About four days latter be had a clean house again.

We are all settled in. Mike is liking his job and I hopefully will start my office work job soon.

Big Jud's

We are trying to visit all the places we have not been to yet here in Idaho before we leave. One of those places is Big Jud's. They have large burgers and really good ones. Mike had a one pound burger. I just had a regular size burger, but have most of Mike's fries.
We have also been going on walks almost every day, even though it is still windy out. The weather is not bad but the Idaho wind is a killer.
Hunter and Keenan the best of friends

We are almost all packed. All of our things leave on Monday just four days from now. We leave in a week. Crazy.

I went visiting teaching on day and got Hunter ready. Just before I left I put my ensign on his car seat. A minute later I turn around to this.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I was really excited for St. Patrick's day since I forgot to were red on valentines day. So Hunter and I had a couple of green outfits.

First a comfy outfit to lounge around the house with.

Second to go out to playgroup in.
A close up of hunters St. Patrick's Day outfit.

I have been making pudding a lot lately since it is cheep and really easy to make and really good to eat. I saw this recipe on the side of the pistachio pudding box. I liked it a lot.

I have been scrapbooking lately with my friend Lisa. I decided that I wanted to expand my craft skills and make a banner. I made this all with my cricket cutter.

A little update on Hunter is that he is now over 13 pounds. He can keep his head up for a little wile and he like to smile. He is making lot of noises. He like to dance as my dad says. He likes to wave his hands and legs all over. He has a great grip and grabs onto my hair more and more. He is mostly sleeping through the night.

Here is Hunter holding his head up and smiling.

Happy Birthday!!!!!

March 4th Hunter Turned two months old and on the 5th it was Mike's 24th Birthday.
To celebrate Hunter went to the Doctors. He got his 2 month old shoots. He flinched so badly. He was drowsy and unhappy for the next couple of days.

To celebrate Mike and I went to his favorite restaurant, Craigos. We ate so much that we didn't have room for cake. We also rented three movies he got one for free because it was his birthday. We watched Valkyrie that night. It was alright not the greatest.

Mike with his gifts. I spent a long time on the cards.

I attempted to make my first double layer cake it turned out all right thanks to lots of icing.

Since we didn't have time on Friday to eat Mike's cake we had it with some of our good friends Lisa and Justin. Hunter also had fun with his friend Keenan.

They are so funny together. Hunter always looks like he is punching Keenan. Keenan is always chewing Hunters hand. You can tell that they are best buddies.

We are moving to Frisco Texas. It is right out side of Dallas. We are excited to move but it is stressful to pack your life up. I have lived most of the last five years here in Rexburg and will miss it for the most part. I will miss all the friends that I have made over the years. All of our married life, all of a year and a half we have lived in the same apartment. It will be sad to leave al the good memories we have made, but we are excited to make new ones in Texas.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

We had a great Valentines Day. Mike and I went on a date to the Craze here in Rexburg. We had fun playing lazer tag and arcade games. Hunter stayed home with his great grandma Alton or now Oma.

We had the opportunity of hearing from one of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Quentin L. Cook. He spoke to our entire stake about 4 prophetic priorities that reflect areas in our lives that we should focus on improving. They include: Increasing faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, strengthening families, rescuing those in need, and strengthening the priesthood.

Hunter got some nice clothing from is Oma.

and gran and papa.

New Beginings

At the End of December Mike graduated from Brigham Young University- Idaho. He graduated in Earth Science Education. He still has to his student teaching this semester. He is teaching at Sugar Salem High School, just out side of Rexburg. So we are staying here in Rexburg till April and then heading to Colorado for the summer.

My parents came for Christmas a couple of days ofter Mike's parents had left. We had a quite Christmas eve and Christmas. On Christmas day we got to talk to my brother who is on a mission in London England. It was nice to hear from him again.

On new years eve our stake had a dance. Since we are the head of the activities committee for our ward we were responsible for helping decorate. There was pizza, games and dancing. It was a great time especially when my sister surprised us at the event. We had a great couple of days with Alena and Dan. Sadly Hunter did not show up when they were here.

We waited all Christmas break to see if I would go into labor but I did not. On the night of the 3rd we went in to the hospital to start my induction. My water broke around 4 in the morning. They did not start the patosin until 8 am on the monday.
About 7 hours later Hunter was born on January 4th 2010 at 3:05pm. He was 7lbs 9 oz and 20 in long.

For the first couple of days he slept all day and was awake all night crying. He is now a week and a half. and sleeps well at night only waking to eat. We is such a joy in our lives and we love him so much.

He had a little jaundice for a couple of days. He needed to ware a bili blanket. Here is him with it on.
